This dog fails to recognize his master who lost weight only after sniffing

Dogs use their sense of smell to locate themselves. This is what allowed this dog to recognize his master after a long absence and great changes in his appearance.

When Shane Godfrey returned home to Sanford, North Carolina, after 5 weeks in hospital due to a very bad flu, he had only one hurry, to see his dog Willie again. But Shane had lost so much weight during his hospitalization that his dog could not recognize him.

Seeing from afar Shane, Willie began to bark, suspicious. Accompanied by the other members of the family, Willie slowly approached Shane to sniff him. It was then that he recognized his master and instantly jumped for joy in his friend's arms.
