Frightened at the idea of a separation, this dog dared not sleep

The adoption of the dog had been wonderful and the animal had become a member of the family in its own right, but its owners noticed a strange behavior on its part; Rather than rest, he spent all his nights posted in front of the house of his owners, watching them sleeping.

One family decided to adopt a dog. She went to a shelter and found her future companion fairly quickly.

Very intelligent, the animal learned quickly and quickly integrated into its new home. He loved to play with the children and did everything to please his owners. His presence alone brought them great happiness on a daily basis.

But after a few weeks, the parents realized a strange behavior that it showed at nightfall. Every night, the dog sat in front of the parents' bedroom and watched them sleep until the early morning. When they woke up, he would celebrate them as if they had been absent for ages.

If this morning welcome made them obviously happy, they began to be preoccupied with the nocturnal attitude of the animal. They even thought he was sick and so took him to the vet to see if everything was going well. The examinations did not reveal anything in the dog, which was therefore perfectly.

But her owners absolutely wanted to know what was so disruptive to their four-legged friend every night. So they went to the shelter where he had lived before to try to find an explanation with the staff who took care of him before his adoption. And then, the answer that was given to them made them cry ...

One night, his former master had decided to bring the dog to this shelter, without even providing an explanation to the volunteers. He had left him on the spot and was immediately away, never to return again. The dog had quietly fallen asleep, probably thinking that his owner was going to pick him up a little later.

When he woke up, the poor kitten found himself in an environment he did not know at all and especially without his master. He had never had the opportunity to say goodbye. In a word, the dog was traumatized by this experience.

This certainly explains why he developed this fear of falling asleep at night, the anguish of separation preventing him from closing his eyes and urging him to watch his current masters. He was afraid that they would wake up and abandon him in their turn.

Having learned this, her parents decided to place her basket in their room, right next to their bed. It took him several weeks, but finally, one night, the dog slid into the arms of Morpheus. It was the first time in many months that he had offered himself a real nocturnal rest. A small event and a great relief for his family who loved him so much.

Their dog now had complete confidence in their love and knew that she would never let him down.
